We have reached the 25th edition of a cultural event of the highest international order, which was launched on Saturday, 8 October 1994, with an extraordinary performance by the Violinist Silvia Marcovici and the Pianist Pascal Rogé.

The success of the first season, which took place partly in 1994 and partly in 1995, resulted in the format which replaced four previous festivals. The format for the Season was chosen by our audiences, who preferred to have longer intervals between performances.

For our Silver Anniversary in 2019 we wanted to be artistically ambitious and present four contrasting events, which include the different genres and styles we have cultivated over the course of the past 25 years.

We will begin with a select group of musicians from one of the leading European symphony orchestras, the Royal Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, with an exquisite and very delicate repertoire which they have allowed us to choose.

Some weeks later, we will be honoured with the presence of one of today's most acclaimed lyrical voices, the Welsh Baritone, Sir Bryn Terfel. Several days afterwards, we will enjoy a jazz concert by one of the great performers in the history of this musical genre, so beloved in our homeland.

And to bid farewell to the 2019 Season, there will be an unmissable dance event with one of the world's leading ballet companies. This will be a magnificent gala by the Stars of the Paris Opera Ballet, with a repertoire which is being choreographed especially for us, to celebrate our Silver Anniversary together.
